Norfolk Skies Painting Breaks

About Frank

Frank Halliday was born in Yorkshire more years ago than he will admit to, and has painted all his life. After following a successful business career which took him all over the UK, he finally settled in Norfolk, where he has been able to focus on his passion for painting. His love and enthusiasm for painting have drawn him into lecturing, demonstrating and running workshops for those who want to paint for themselves.

Frank has had one man exhibitions in Yorkshire, Derbyshire and Norfolk, showing works in oils, pastel and watercolour. His paintings have sold successfully to collections in Europe, America, Australia and throughout the UK.

Three of Frank's watercolours entitled "Norfolk Skies" have been published as limited edition prints (see the Catalogue). He has written two easy to read books on watercolour painting, produced six videos on how to paint, appeared on television, and even been featured in ‘Painting on the Radio’ for the BBC!

When he is not running Painting Breaks at his studio in Cromer, near Norwich, Frank has worked professionally for Winsor & Newton as a demonstrator, tutored workshops for the Arts & Leisure Painter magazine, and demonstrated at shows around the country. He is also in great demand on the cruise ship circuit, where his workshops are always over-subscribed.

Frank’s dry Yorkshire sense of humour makes every class or course that he runs a perfect delight, and you will have fun learning. Why not look at Frank’s Courses and Events page to see when you could enjoy a relaxing break?

If you don’t paint, but you love watercolours, have a look at Frank’s Gallery, where you can order originals which will add colour and beauty to your home.
